Auschwitz played its infamous role of being the main camp used for Shoah - Holocaust, a place of martyrdom for nearly 3 million Jews and hundreds of thousands of others, that didn't fit the racial politics of the Third Reich. Visited by millions of tourists each year it's the World's most bitter reminder of what might happen in a tense, nationalist environment, which occurred in Nazi Germany over 75 years ago. Accompanied by a local guide, you'll experience Auschwitz museum, as well as the nearby Birkenau barracks camp. This tour requires a considerable amount of walking, since the camp grounds are the biggest amongst all the other camps in history.
The tour follows with Krakow, Poland's former capital city. The "King Krak's Gorge" is still one of the top tourist destinations in Poland, and for a good reason, too. The former royal town is an architectural gem of Polish renaissance and a well known "good address" in Poland. Krakow is thriving with culture and is rich in historical sights, and it's visited widely for its charm and elegance. Differing from Warsaw with its* slower pace and pretentions for being the country's home of intelligentsia, it's certainly a place to be.
